Group Counselling

srvc_grp_cnsling

Parm Laniado Counselling offers group counselling to adults who wish to explore and transform their lives. This counselling group is for women and men between the ages of 21 – 60 years.

What sorts of things can you discuss in group therapy?

  • Relationship issues
  • Parenting issues
  • Family issues
  • Stress
  • Life Transitions
  • Grief, loss, bereavement
  • Self-improvement
  • Separation/Divorce
  • Dating

An intake interview is required prior to attending the group.

The group meets weekly on Tuesday nights for 90 minutes (from 8 – 9:30pm) at the Griffin Business Centre in North Vancouver.

The fee is $80 per person per session. The fee reserves your place in the group. If you are unable to attend a particular session, you are still responsible for payment for that session.

Our counselling group functions both as a support group (helping you to cope with the demands of daily life) and as a psychotherapy group (helping you learn about yourself through interacting with other group members).

When you first begin with the group, you are asked to participate in a minimum of twelve sessions to give the best chance of success to yourself and to the group. Following your initial twelve sessions, you may be invited to stay with the group if the group is meeting your needs and helping you move towards achieving your goals, and if you are a good fit for the group.

Group expectations:

  • Payment must be made prior to the session beginning
  • Arrive on time and attend regularly
  • Listen to others with an attempt to understand what they are trying to say
  • Share your thoughts and feelings
  • Take your equal share of the talking time
  • Discuss any issues you have with the group or group facilitator as they arise
  • MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY
